Focaccia French Toast

A crispy, crunchy french toast for the breakfast aficionado

ingredients

  • 2 pieces of focaccia, cut into 4 inch squares

  • 2 eggs

  • 100g milk

  • 100g heavy cream

  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

  • 25g sugar

process

  1. Cut focaccia into squares

  2. Combine milk, eggs, cream, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl

  3. Soak each square in custard for about 15 minutes each until each square is soft but not falling apart

  4. Preheat the oven to 400F

  5. Melt 2 tbsps of butter in a skillet over medium heat until foaming subsides

  6. Cook until deeply browned on one side, flip, and place in the oven for 10 minutes

  7. Add desired toppings and serve
