Focaccia French Toast
A crispy, crunchy french toast for the breakfast aficionado
ingredients
2 pieces of focaccia, cut into 4 inch squares
2 eggs
100g milk
100g heavy cream
2 tbsp cinnamon
25g sugar
process
Cut focaccia into squares
Combine milk, eggs, cream, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl
Soak each square in custard for about 15 minutes each until each square is soft but not falling apart
Preheat the oven to 400F
Melt 2 tbsps of butter in a skillet over medium heat until foaming subsides
Cook until deeply browned on one side, flip, and place in the oven for 10 minutes
Add desired toppings and serve
